David Oreste Di Francesco (DOD, get it?), started the company in 1974 and later sold the company to Harman International.
Many of the more popular DOD pedals are now available under the DigiTech name. DOD is also known as "division of Digitech or (DOD, get it? Yes, this is getting annoying) .
